The Jackson Heights law firm of Previte, Glasser and Farber came into being in the mid-1970's. Some years later, the firm moved to Forest Hills Gardens. In 1988, and following Mr. Previte's withdrawal from the firm, Farber, Rosen & Kaufman P.C. (FRKLaw) was established in its current, Rego Park location.
FRKLaw's early work in complex mortgage and real estate transactions for Cross County Savings Bank established the firm's reputation in the banking community. As Cross County and other New York Community Banks have grown, so has the importance of FRKLaw, as it has represented many institutions in financial transactions as well as in litigation. In New York, FRKLaw clients include: Queens County, Columbia Federal Savings Bank, Roslyn Savings Bank, Atlantic Bank and Long Island Commercial banks; and in New Jersey, Ironbound Bank, Garden State Community Bank and Synergy banks.
FRKLaw has also been retained to represent banks that formerly employed much larger firms. What has made FRKLaw's service to each bank uniquely effective is its willingness to "go the extra mile" in seeing to the needs of all parties, including borrowers, mortgage brokers, lawyers, and of course, the bank client. As senior partner Joseph Farber relates, "we are prepared to do anything and everything to meet the needs of all parties and to make things happen... and we do it with a smile."
Evidence of this attitude and of the positive energy of the practice is easily found within the FRK offices, where one will meet both attorneys and staff who have worked for the firm for decades. The staff of FRKLaw enjoy the work itself, and take particular pride in working together to provide legal services that are second to none.
